Vancouver
Island’s Mount Washington Alpine Resort is one of the
most spectacular coastal alpine settings in North
America. Nestled between Strathcona Provincial Park to
the west and the Strait of Georgia to the east, its
ideal location is what produces the resort’s epic annual
snowfall. Mount Washington averages 10.5 meters or 35
feet of snowfall every season which is likely why it was
voted in the top 10 for Best Powder by Ski Canada
Magazine (2008). Its location also explains is mild
climate with an average winter temperature of -2C (31F),
a location where it is possible to ski in the morning
and golf in the valley at one of many award-winning
courses.
