GALLERY - Around the B&B

The gunnera - looks like a huge rhubarb but is native to the rain forest of Chile. The plant is cut down to the ground; the roots will be covered with the leaves. In the early spring the half-rotten leaves are being removed and the gunnera grows within 6 weeks to a height of about 12 feet.

It demands an incredible amount of water - so its location right beside our pond with the gold fish is perfect.
